Fire in the Holl is the first of many levels you will face in the hot and firey underground. There is lava all around you with some in pools and geyers of lava that shoot up at regular intervals. There are also fires that you have to jump over or risk getting burned. In this treacherous level, you will find a Mind Crystal, a Red Xichron, and a new spell that is unlike any that you have yet seen.
From the entrance go to the right and you can save in Picture 1. From the save point, go left over the fire to Picture 2. Go right over the Dragon Cannon (getting the Gold Xichrons) to Picture 3. Go right to the lava pool and kill the two lava monsters which I have termed Salamenders. I used the Ice Wall spell since it is powerful, but since it uses a lot of magic, the boomerang spell might be a better choice. Be sure to get the Walk on Lava power up and go to Picture 4. Push the buton by walking into it and now return to Picture 3.
Now go down (get all of the Gold Xichrons) and go on the springs in Picture 5. Go left past the two Fire Slimes and the two Fire Frogs to get to Picture 6. There are disappearing platforms over the lava pool so jump on them to get to Picture 7 to get a Multicrystal. Jump off the platform and go left over the springs and to Picture 8. Break the Question Boxes to press the button. Now go back to left of Picture 5.
In Picture 9, get in the Dragon Cannon that's above Ferazel's head and try to time it so that you land in the next Dragon Cannon with it pointing up or slightly to the left or right. You'll land somewhere in Picture 10, facing more fire-breathing demon. The right of Ferazel is another Fire Demon and a save point that you can use after killing the Fire Demon. Go left from where I am in Picture 10 to find an odd wall. Just use your knife and boomerang spell to get past it to find a more deadly threat in the form of Fire Swinging Blades in Picture 11. Finally jump over the lava geyers and the spikes to come across another Fire Frog in Picture 12. Kill it and keep on moving left.
Get the Gold Xichrons and jump on the ledge in Picture 13 to get more Gold Xichrons and go left. Go down to Picture 14 and get the Gold Xichrons over the lava. Go left and break the wall as I did in Picture 15 to get the shields. Grab the High Jump power up in Picture 15 and jump up and keep on going up until you get to Picture 16. I got past the wall with the spikes in the picture by using the Ice Wall spell which lasts a surprisingly long time given all of the heat.
At the very top, you'll be in Picture 17 with the prizes being a small pool of Ziridium Brine and a gold key that you will need later. Jump on the teleporter and you'll be in Picture 18. The rock crumbles so first hop on the platform to turn it on. That way you'll have an easy way of making it back to the save point if you fall down when trying to get to it. Now make your way back to Picture 2 and go left to where the Knife-Throwing Goblins are. Kill them and go to Picture 19 and kill the Fire Demons. Jump on the rocks to get to Picture 20. Break the wall and roll the stone on the button. This will open a door further along in the level.
Go back down and left to Picture 21 and keep on going left. Go over the large lava pool, kill the Salamenders, and to the left bank of the lava pool and climb up to Picture 22. Kill the Flying Demons to be able to jump on the Spiked Platform and make it to Picture 24. Push the button and go back to the left of the lava pool. Get the Gold Xichrons and go into the door as in Picture 24. Get the Gold Xichrons and leave.
Go right past the wall and arrive in Picture 29. Use the VBlade to get the power ups and go right past the fire and into the door. You'll be in Picture 30 with the Mind Crystal that I promised you. The crates have fire seeds and the platform crumbles so be sure to grab them before they fall into the lava. You'll have to use the rope in order to do this. Now leave this place and go back to Picture 1 and go right to Picture 31. Now you can use the gold key to go through the door. Climb up the wall before the save point to find a question crate and an Invincibility power up that will help you over the fire ahead. Kill the Flying Demons and climb up above the first floating rock and use a Fire Seed to break the wall to press the button. Go back an down and to the right to Picture 38. Heal up, save, and leave to successfully complete this level. |
