Hector D. Byrd here with the latest edition of Sneak Snapz!

I'm a bird that's enthused about three things: food, water, and Ambrosia stuff. I bet you don't want to hear about my large nutshell collection (it's at the bottom of my cage), so let's sneak a peek at Snapz Pro 2.0 instead.

I bet some of you are saying "Snapz Pro is so cool that it can't get any better!" Right? Huh? Come on, someone say it. Everybody is telling me to say things all the time. I bet it's because I'm an African Grey parrot.

To those of you that said it: Wrong! Wrong-o! Snapz Pro 2.0 is coming, and it's going to rock! How? Well, get a glimpse of this one shot:

Snapz Pro 2.0
What's that new option?

See that? Looks like it's going to become a whole lot more useful. QuickTime, anyone?

That's right, that ".mov" thing you see there is the QuickTime movie format! And no, this is NOT an April Fool's joke, folks. This is the real deal. Snapz Pro is about to become the best choice for making screen movies (short of owning two AV Macs).

You may have also noticed the new area selection tool. It works a bit more like the tools you'd find in a paint program. You can use a handle on the corner to resize it, and you can also drag it around:

Snapz Pro 2.0
Draggin' it!

Snapz Pro 2 is about to become "killer". About the only thing it won't do is your dishes.

OK, now onto the games... What's happening with our forthcoming roleplaying game, Cythera?

Glenn Andreas mentioned something to me about easter eggs the other night. What are easter eggs? They're things we hide in the game for you to find. It looks like Cythera will have a few of them. Of course, the best part of the secret is discovery. So please don't ask me to show you those.

I will, however, show you these cool shots that Glenn sent me recently, of the underground parts of Cythera.

The soil is eroded here, giving way to fungi. But why?

Some things were meant to stay buried, like this glowing object.

And here's a shot I took myself (notice how the main character is a woman?) This sea monster gave me a good walloping.

A mean and nasty sea monster rears its head off of the Northern coast.

Ben Spees assures me that Ferazel's Wand is coming along quite nicely as well. Among the elements he is adding: Hang gliders that Ferazel can fly in, and catapults. What are the Catapults for? That's a secret! Squauuk! Here's a pic or two that Ben sent along:

Check out this cool looking catapult! I wonder what cool things it can do?

Ben clearly has been working hard on the game, and it looks just fabulous! Notice the breathtaking graphics in this other picture of Ferazel versus some toadie creatures:

cool toads
And look at the stunning background! The stunning foreground! The yummy looking frogs!

All in all, Ferazel is shaping up to be a perfect game to get addicted to this year. Send in your gifts of gold, frankinscense, and myrrh now if you want to be a beta tester!
