Rochester, NY -- January 10th, 1996 -- Ambrosia Software, Inc. announced today the official unveiling of the Ambrosia Cafe, the ultimate web site for Mac aficionados: http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/Cafe.html

"Finding useful and entertaining information on the 'net," says Ambrosia's Thaumaturgist Andrew Welch, "is akin to mining for nuggets of gold: it's dreadfully boring, tedious, and true finds are rare. With the opening of the Ambrosia Cafe, we're trying to do our part to change all that for Mac users."

The result of a collaboration between Ambrosia Software, Inc. and dozens of other talented individuals, the Ambrosia Cafe is home to many disparate sites that share a common thread: the Macintosh and a commitment to excellence.

"What we did," says Ambrosia's "Cajun" David Richard, "was we sought out talented, energetic Mac guru's who either had superb existing web content or a unique vision for a site and we said 'We've got a beefy server with a sweet connection to the Internet. Here's your account. Go to it!' And they did."

A glance at the Ambrosia Cafe's menu reveals a feast that no Mac geek can resist. Paul Taylor's eclectic monthly eZine Mac Media offers intriguing articles on a wide range of topics from music & film critiques to Macintosh hardware & software reviews. Robert Novo's uniquely personal monthly eZine About This Particular Macintosh and its weekly sibling AppleSauce provide charming and informative articles on how to get the most out of your Macintosh.

The Ambrosia Cafe also provides hard-core reference material such as Jonathan Chapman's Macintosh Guide, which he modestly says can be "...used to learn more about everything Macintosh: the Macintosh Guide covers 5 main topics System Software, Hardware, Networking, Printing, and Procedures."

When it's time to kick back and relax, Christina Schulman's comp.sys.mac.games FAQ offers questions and answers on just about every conceivable Macintosh gaming-related question. And as if this weren't enough, Christina has also compiled a disturbingly massive web index of Macintosh gaming-related resources in her Mac Game Resources on the Internet.

These brief mentions of the content found in the Ambrosia Cafe barely scratches the surface of what is currently offered there. "Since we still have an open invitation to talented individuals with a vision," says Mr. Welch, "I foresee the Ambrosia Cafe constantly expanding and extending its reach. I'm hoping it turns into something really special."
